Back in January, I talked about this year as the "Year of Refinement." Above was the Mantra I suggested. It feels like a good time to remind ourselves that we are going through a Refinement process. Refinement = Improvement by making small changes. Monday's Aquarius Full Moon encourages us to feel Optimistic about the small changes and slightest improvements. It gives us Faith that we ARE indeed moving Forward!!

August 19th ~ Aquarius Super Full Moon:

Once a year when the Leo Sun is directly opposite the Moon in Aquarius, the Universe brings us an Aquarius  Full Moon. This week's Full Moon will be the 1st of 4 Super Full Moons in a row! And, the next Full Moon will be a Lunar Eclipse! Super (Perigee) Moons are when the Moon is significantly closer to Earth.  The proximity of the Moon creates a larger appearance and presence in the sky.  It also intensifies the gravitational pulls on the Earth's body (the ocean's tides and tectonic plates) as well as our physical and emotional bodies!  Yep, this means BIGGER feels!
 

Aquarius Energy Works as a Catalyst for Change.

To add to this Super Full Moon energy, the Sun and Moon form a T-Square (90° angle) with the Planet Uranus at 27° Taurus. T-Square Aspects mark turning points, points of change. Uranus rules the sign of Aquarius.  Uranus is the "Awakener" Planet, it wakes us up by shaking things up. This absolutely adds more charge to the energy of this Full Moon. With Uranus in the mix, we will have a greater chance of seeing WHERE we need to make changes. When the Planet Uranus is involved, anything can happen. Be open to breakdowns, breakthroughs without expectations, fears or attachment. 
 

This week's Full Moon has the Sun in Leo opposing the Moon in Aquarius. Full Moons shine a Light on the Shadow patterns that need to be addressed. Patterns that may be showing up for you this week; feeling a lack of acknowledgment/appreciation, difficulty accessing Joy or Grief, feeling like an outsider (not belonging), trouble accepting change and feeling your Freedom restricted. Think of ways you can connect with your Heart & Heart Chakra;

• Gratitude Practice... A MUST!! And include Self-Gratitude.

• Give hugs!

• Play, dance, sing, do something creative!

• Bodywork, breath-work, heart-opening yoga. 

• Consider using an affirmation around Love and Trust. "I am Trusting my Loving Essence." "I am beginning to open my heart to receive Love."

Aquarius is the Archetype of the Awakened Mind.  An Aquarius Full Moon reminds us to balance the Heart with the Mind. This Full Moon calls us TO BELIEVE IN OURSELVES. It will show us how to find the "Freedom" we so desire.  When we connect with our Hearts, find our Courage~ we will face our fears, dissolving the power they have over us... ultimately giving us the Freedom to Create, experience Joy and continue on our Destined Paths.

The Sun conjoins Mercury the day before the Full Moon (August 18), marking the half-way point of this Mercury Retrograde Cycle. Each Mercury Retrograde Cycle effects us differently, depending on where it is in our chart and where we are on our Evolutionary Path. We began to feel the energy of this Retrograde Cycle back in Mid-July (~July 17) when Mercury entered the shadow degrees of its travel. We felt another bump of the Trickster energy around the date it Stationed Retrograde (August 4th), and then another bump on the Mid-point Day when Mercury joins the Sun (August 18th). This weekend, Mercury's bump may feel more like a jolt as Mercury is also Squaring Uranus and opposing the Moon. Surprises, breakdowns, set backs, anything is possible.

All of this Cosmic energy enhanced by Uranus can strain our Nervous System. Rest. Breathe. Connect with your Heart Chakra. Trust that this is all part of the process of change, necessary changes. If not already, you will soon begin to see the Silver Lining... WE ARE MOVING FORWARD!
