Full Moons bring Light into the Shadow, they allow us to see our Shadow more easily. Each Full Moon invites us to up-level.  They show us how far we have come and where we need to make adjustments and re-align ourselves. The monthly opposition of the Sun and the Moon encourages us to engage in and find balance in the Archetypal energies of the opposing signs.  With the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces we are invited to look at our relationship between our Head (CONTROL) and our Heart (TRUST). 

Pisces is the Archetype of the Addict & the Mystic.  The word "Addict" comes from the Latin word "Addicere", which originally meant "assign". The word "addicted" joined the English language in the 16th Century with the meaning "Devoted to". I absolutely love how old languages and new languages connect to the symbolic languages (Archetypes, Astrology, Mysticism). We live in a world that economically benefits from feeding the Addict within us all. The Full Moon this week invites us to explore what you are Addicted to vs Devoted to. Think of the "Addict" as being controlled by something outside of yourself; substances, food, social media, your phone, control, negative thoughts, complaining, staying thin/young, money, exercise, obsessive behaviors (nail biting), and so on. "Devotion" on the other hand is where you have Self-Control; Devoted to a Spiritual Practice, Devoted to a healthy lifestyle/diet/exercise. Yes, there is grey area here, and keep in mind it is not about right or wrong, good or bad. The key to keeping this Archetype healthy is to Surrender the need to be IN control~ while maintaining Self-control.  Yep, it's tricky... especially since the most common addiction we all have is our addiction to Control!

 

What is holding you in suffering right now?
Look for areas where you are gripping on to Control~
Consider loosening that grip or perhaps Surrendering all together.

Wednesday's Pisces Full Moon is the 3rd of 4 SUPER Full Moons in a row. Super (Perigee) Full Moons are Moons that are significantly closer to Earth, appearing larger in the Night sky. The closer proximity to Earth intensifies the gravitational pulls affecting the Ocean's tides (creating super high tides), the Earth's tectonic plates,  as well as pulling on our human emotional bodies. This Full Moon will be the CLOSEST FULL MOON OF 2023! 

Yep. That means bigger emotions. That can mean bigger "Pisces" feelings for us as well; disillusionment, fear of emotional depths, anxiety, overwhelm, confused, empathy, hightened sensitivity & intuition, greater imagination, compassion and love.

Pisces reminds us that our Intuition is a major channel to deeper Guidance and the key to Manifestation. Stillness, silence, doing nothing, connecting with your Heart, Trusting yourself~ are all ways you can open yourself up to listening to the Whispers of your Soul and engage with your Innate Intuition.

In a few days (Sept 4) Jupiter will Station Retrograde joining Mercury, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in Retrograde motion.  With so many Planets in Retrograde we are feeling the calling to pull back, slow down and reflect on the past year.  When we step back we have a broader view of what is ahead of us, giving us an opportunity to see things with fresh eyes and a different perspective. During these Cycles, Mercury (the Messenger Planet), slows us down, encouraging us to listen to our Inner Voice, our Intuition & our Guides.  On September 3rd, Mercury meets up with the Sun in conjunction marking its half-way point in the Mercury Cycle. On this day the Mercury Messages will be more clear~ be sure to allow yourself some quiet time to listen.

Our Innate design as humans is that we are open to receiving Guidance. We must know that we will only get this Guidance if we are open to Receiving it.  When we allow ourselves to slow down, look, listen~ When we Surrender our need for control~ We THEN open ourselves up to Trust the Unknown~ In turn, opening ourselves up to Receive Guidance and Messages.
